Hello everyone. Thanks for your ongoing interest in the PokerSitandGoReport Videos. This is where we can discuss, critique, collaborate or just plain disagree with content on the videos or anywhere else you come across. I ask that if you are asking a question in reference to a hand in one of the videos start the descriptions as such: Video 3 - KhJs. This way I will know what video you are referring to and what hand I was playing at the time.

Thanks again, Marty Smith

    6-handers vs 10-handers.

UB offers both 6 and 10 hand formats. Top 2 pay in the 6 (33%) and top 3 in the 10 (30%). Prize pools are 70/30 in the 6 and 50/30/20 in the 10, for equivalent buy-in amounts. Any thoughts on how to trade off raw win odds vs potential win size? I'm not sure which has higher expectation long-haul.

At the site that I play at, the blinds go up extremely fast, 10/20 to start, then every 10 hands they double, so by stage 4 the blinds are 80/160. How much should I change my strategy to accomodate these speedy blinds? Should I play suited connectors and small pocket pairs in middle/late position to start out, but then throw them away as the blinds get really high compaired to my stack? The average M by stage 4 of the tournaments are usually around 5 or 6, just to give you an idea of the kind of pressure I'm under to accumulate chips.

Another note I forgot to add w/ that... the starting chips are 1000. Depending on the type of players at the table, there are usually 3 players that have been knocked out by stage 4, sometimes more, rarely less. It just seems like after 40 hands or so that the game is pretty much a crap shoot. Should I think about playing at another site?
